Surfing with Rich
Since my first solo trip by bus from Mexico City to Puerto La Libertad, El Salvador, in December of 1977, Mexicans and Central Americans have looked out for me, protected me, invited me into their homes, adopted me into their families, and edified me on old world customs and international business practices. As a very pleasant result, I am now bicultural, and have deep roots in both Southern California and Costa Rica. Surfing with Rich is a collection of reflections and recollections about my life and experiences in Mexico and Central America over the past 25 years.
