SHB coffee in Costa Rica is cultivated at an altitude of 3,000-6,000 feet (1,000-1,700 meters). In addition to being particularly dense, these beans have an excellent acidity and exceptional body. SHB coffees are cultivated principally in the Costa Rican provinces of Alajuela, Heredia and San José.
