Receiving Stations

Costa Rican coffee receiving stations are located at crossroads or in the vicinity of the larger plantations. These stations are carefully maintained by the beneficios (coffee mills) to assure a constant supply of high-quality coffee beans. While their loads are measured, and they await their receipt, the farmers enjoy socializing with each other. At dusk, our ripe cherries are whisked away to a nearby beneficio for immediate processing.
